One critical piece of funding is how to get your first platform up and running without making poor choices for the future or spending too much of your valuable money. We have worked hard with our offshore development partner to create an outsourcing plan especially tailored to startup companies called the Entrepreneur Plan.

The Entrepreneur Plan is designed for startup companies that need to build a full technology platform around key investment ideas. The plan allows the startup company to start the development process without lengthy requirements gathering or the need to define all aspects of the platform ahead of time that a traditional outsourcing partner requires. The startup company can start building their platform around the key proof of concept ideas and chose their next steps without a lengthy, unproductive negotiation with a vendor.

This is all possible by changing the usually expensive and frustrating outsourcing model. The Entrepreneur Plan provides the entire operational infrastructure needed to host a team of developers. The startup company helps screen and select employees to fill the spots and then manages the team as they would their own employees. The Startup Company receives a single itemized invoice each month based on the pricing plan they select.

The key benefits of the Entrepreneur Plan compared to the traditional outsourcing plan are:

Requirements planning not connected to price and contract – we provide the infrastructure but the day to day management is the responsibility of the Startup Company. Project factors like time, effort, and scope are the Startup Company’s responsibility. We do not need full requirements planning or change management to protect our business so lengthy planning, negotiation, and expectation management is not required.
100% transparency – The Startup Company directly manages the development resources on a day to day basis without middle management so all aspect of the project are visible.
Cost consistency – The price models are flat fee and not dependent on time. The monthly cost will be the same and not fluctuate based on how much the developers work. The Startup Company can have development resources work longer hours making last minute changes near the end of a development cycle without cost repercussions.
Cost flexibility – The startup company can expand and contract the team as needed without the normal issues related to employee hiring and firing. The only operational impact is the monthly single invoice.
Retention of Institutional Knowledge – Development resources are dedicated to the Startup Company for as long as needed. The resources do not work on other projects and, since the contracts are not project based, they do not turn-over between releases. The development resources will gain institutional knowledge that can be retained and transitioned as needed.

Pricing

There are two pricing models that are designed to meet a Startup Company’s evolution. Pricing plan A is designed for the very early stage and is a flat monthly fee for each resource. Pricing plan B is design for efficient scaling a company begins to grow and is a flat monthly fee plus a lower monthly fee.

Our pricing is fixed and affordable since all resources are based off-shore, however, we do not want to publish them on the Internet. Please contact us and we'll be happy to give you the pricing up-front without a long sales process.

How to Get Started

Startup time depends on the skills needed. Selecting resources that may be on the same project for some time must be handled carefully. The Startup Company works closely with us to select the exact right resources. This means all resumes are reviews, interviews are conducted, and selections are made together. This generally takes two weeks baring any unusual skill requirements.

Standard working infrastructure like desks, development computers, etc., is ready to go immediately. Special requirements such as special development servers or any other unusual requirements will take expected time frames to prepare.
